Minot State Alumna Cera Pignet at NOTSTOCK 2022

We proud and honored to have @cerapignet join this year’s event. As a Minot State alumna, she was trained in a variety of mediums including printmaking, bookbinding, painting, and many more.

She explores the wacky, surreal, and beautiful qualities of life through her drawings, but sometimes makes pretty things just because she wants to. She works primarily in digital illustration but also enjoys printmaking.

Like last year, she was asked to create a poster for the music concert. Her wonderful @nurdrocks poster will be for sale at the event along with other pieces of her work.

Pignet will print live in the Student Center Beaver Dam Sept. 22-23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sept. 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

NOTSTOCK 2022 Welcomes Mary Bruno

We are thrilled to host Minnesota printmaking badass Mary Bruno of Bruno Press

From her studio in St. Joseph, Minnesota, she prints using the old school tradition of letterpress printing that she learned from her dad. She carves linoleum and hand-sets wood and lead type to make posters, broadsides, salty and sweet greeting cards, fine art prints, and more.

She is a feisty community go-getter and loves to collaborate with other printers, poets, musicians, kids, and designers. Many weekends you will find her sharing her studio with 4-year-olds to 94-year-olds teaching them the craft of letterpress and linocut printmaking.

Bruno will print live in the Northwest Arts Center Sept. 22 and 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sept. 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

She will give a presentation of her work at 12 p.m. on Sept 23 in Student Center Conference Center.

Her work will be on display in the Northwest Arts Center (lower level of the MSU Library) Sept. 20-30 and will be for sale at the event.
